Stop 3: Burnsville & Minnetonka
MN Art Therapists held two events on our third and final day of the Summer/Fall Art & Advocacy Tour!
Breanna Reed LPCC ATR-BC and Elliesha Hahn LPCC ATR-BC hosted a magical morning of art-making journeying through the Expressive Therapies Continuum in their gorgeous Burnsville offices. We were joined by State Senator Melissa Wiklund and State Rep Liz Reyer, who shared parts of their journey into public service with us and a bit about their creative sides!
The afternoon event involved an intimate gathering of art therapists and students at Adler Graduate School, with Art Lab Rx making Maggie the Art Bus available to tour, button-making, community quilt sewing, and a last-minute visit by local State Rep Alex Falconer!
It’s been a whirlwind five months of tour events, and we have so much good momentum heading into the new year and the 2026 legislative session! Grateful for all those who shared their hearts and gifts during the tour, made art with us, and welcomed our legislative guests with openness and positive energy!
Stay tuned for what’s next… we’re not done yet! 🎉

Stop 2: St. Cloud
Minnesota Art Therapists brought the sunshine to St. Cloud with our Second Stop on the 2025-2026 Art & Advocacy Tour!
We served approximately 50 people at beautiful Riverside Park & Pavilion, including kids, adults, and families! Fun was had by all with button-making, sewing squares on our Fergus Falls quilt, making new squares for our St. Cloud quilt, exploring client & therapist artwork on display, and chatting with visitors about our art therapy licensure efforts.
Special guest Rep Matt Norris joined us once again, and this time we got Matt to make some art reflecting on his adventures to Yosemite National Park and a “LFG” button in honor of Melissa Hortman. ❤️ Thanks for creating with us, Matt!

Stop 1: Fergus Falls
On June 17th, Minnesota Art Therapists took their show on the road for the first of four statewide “Make Art About It” events bringing awareness about Art Therapy through community Art-Making!
Our first stop was Spies Riverfront Park & Pavilion in Fergus Falls in Western Minnesota. Around 90 people of all ages and abilities dropped by during a warm summer afternoon, to make buttons on Maggie the Art Bus and make “squares” for our Community “Quilt”. So much creativity and connection shared by all!
