Gathering Details
Parking, Our Gathering Room, Lunching, Etc.
Meet 8:00AM in Justice’s Dining Room
Located in the Dining Area on the lower level of the State Capitol Building in the Dining Area
We are so looking forward to gathering together to advocate for art therapy! Thank you in advance!

BYO lunch or cash for cafe on site.
We have a room for the day to use as needed for coats and other personal belongings. Justice’s Dining Room. It is located in the Dining Area on the lower level of the State Capitol Building in the Dining Area.
Wear your MN Art Therapy T-shirt and good walking shoes.
The Capitol complex (including Senate and House buildings) is handicap accessible.
The tunnel between the House and the Capitol buildings is closed: plan accordingly for the weather and be prepared to be outside for a short period of time.
Bring something to work on in between meetings - art materials or computer work (we will have ideas and some pre-planned activities).
Talking points for speaking with legislators will be provided, as will training and prep for those who woulld like the support.
Individual Meetings
Details:
Small Group Legislator Meetings will be scheduled throughout the day. Most meetings are short, and last under 8 minutes.
We will also have a casual art-making activity available to invite conversation with passersby.

Regulations at the Capitol
Note: Food, flowers, and beverages with red or purple dyes or pigments are not allowed (roses, red wine, strawberries) in the Capitol Building.
Stickers may not be used or distributed at indoor/outdoor events.
Tape may not be used on any state property including duct tape, gaffers tape, or masking tape.
Food and beverages are prohibited in the Rotunda, Exhibit Gallery and Cass Gilbert Room of the Capitol Building.
