Our Bill in the House / HF2743                    Our bill in the Senate / SF 3613

“Clinical Art Therapy license is needed in Minnesota to promote the safe and effective use of art in therapy by trained art therapists, differentiate and safeguard the profession from being uprooted by changes in the counseling world, and increase access to non-traditional and nonverbal forms of therapy for those with complex mental health needs.”

Goal:
To pass the 2024 Minnesota Clinical Art Therapy bill through the Senate and the House

What is the clinical Art Therapy Bill?

Art Therapy needs it’s own official license.  A clinical license means there will be expanded access to more services for the public, offers harm reduction, and is not competitive with other therapy licenses.

Why is it so important?

Clinical Art Therapy license is needed in Minnesota to promote the safe and effective use of art in therapy by trained art therapists, differentiate and safeguard the profession from being uprooted by changes in the counseling world, and increase access to non-traditional and nonverbal forms of therapy for those with complex mental health needs.
